• ASK your leader when to start taking orders. You can take orders from your relatives before the start date but don't take orders from anyone else until after the start date.
• ASK your leader when to turn in your orders to your leader. Stop taking orders on or before that date.
• NEVER collect money from people when you take their order. Always collect it when you deliver their popcorn.
• TURN IN YOUR ORDER on the date the leader tells you to do so and ORDER YOUR PRIZES from your leader at the same time.
• PICK UP YOUR POPCORN on the day your leader tells you to do so.
• SELL YOUR POPCORN to the people that ordered it from you, collect the money from them, then put it in your Trail's End money envelope.
• RETURN your Trail's End popcorn money envelope and any unsold popcorn to your leader within three days of the time you picked up your popcorn.
• YOU MAY be able to receive your prizes when you turn in your popcorn money to your leader.
• ALWAYS wear your uniform.
• ALWAYS sell in pairs or with an adult and never sell after dark.
• ALWAYS act like a Scout and be polite and courteous. Wear a smile and introduce yourself.
• ALWAYS walk on the sidewalk and driveway, NOT through the yard. Watch for traffic.
• DON'T carry large amounts of cash with you. Never enter anyone's house.
• REMEMBER to always have 2 pens with you and make sure you keep your take-order form as neat as possible.

• MOST IMPORTANTLY, when you are selling the popcorn - tell the people what the money goes for - have them read the front side of the take-order form.
• NOT EVERY HOUSE will buy so do not become discouraged.
• THE MORE PEOPLE you ask - the more people will buy.
• ASK YOUR PARENTS to help you sell Trail's End popcorn at their workplace for employee or customer gifts. Better yet, ask your parents if you can go to their office and sell. Make sure you deliver the popcorn and say "Thank You" - if you can't deliver it yourself, tape a thank you note on top of the popcorn.
• ASK YOUR PARENTS to take a Mini Order Form to work to pass around the office.
• Your leader may want to have your take-order form when you turn in your order so that the leader can keep track. When your leader is done with your take-order form ask him to give it back so you can call on these people again next year. People will remember how polite and courteous you were and the Trail's End popcorn that they did not buy enough of!
