If you're between the ages of 7 and 20, you might be interested in one of the Scouting programs. If you're a parent, you might be interested in volunteering to be a Scout leader. Scouting offers a time-tested set of activities that have produced fine citizens, dedicated family members, and strong community leaders for more than 90 years.

Cub Scouts
Cub Scouts do fun things with other kids! They get to wear a cool uniform, go places, and see things. They play all kinds of sports and build things, like race cars and bird houses. Want to learn a secret code? Want to learn about wild animals? If you're a boy in the first through fifth grades (ages 7 to 10), go Cub Scouting!
Boy Scouts
Boy Scouts get away from it all! They camp, hike, and fish in the great outdoors. They get together in troops, and try out new experiences. Boy Scouting is available to boys who are 11 through 17 years old, or who have earned the Arrow of Light Award, or have completed the fifth grade.
Venturing
Venturing offers a program that is fun and full of challenge and adventure for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the eighth grade) through 20 years of age. Learn more about high adventure, sports, arts and hobbies, youth ministries, and Sea Scouting crews.
Volunteers
Looking for a program that teaches positive values to boys your son's age? Looking for activities that build personal fitness, social skills, and leadership? Scouting offers a time-tested set of activities that have produced fine citizens, dedicated family members and strong community leaders for almost 89 years. Learn how Scouting can help you make the most of the limited time you have with your son.
Starting a Unit
Is your organization looking for a way to provide wholesome, educational activities for youth in your community? Scouting offers an array of programs that include outdoor experiences, advancement, recognition, and, in particular, values. Learn how your school, community organization, or religious organization can benefit from starting a Scouting unit.
Support Scouting
Scouting makes a direct and positive impact on your community by teaching positive values and leadership skills to youth. Join the individuals, corporations, and foundations who support Scouting's mission.

For more information about any of these programs please visit the BSA National Office Web Site or contact the Scenic Trails Council office.
